After successfully completing her piercing apprenticeship here at Nevermore with our former resident piercer, Fay is now in her second year of piercing and is eager to expand her experience and skill set.
Fay has been trained as a blade needle piercer which is a less common method of piercing practice here in the UK, where cannula needle piercers are much more commonly found. Blade needle piercing is a method used in America and throughout Europe where regulations for safer piercing practices are much stricter.
Blade needles are sharp and hollow, their structure designed to make them perfect for piercing. The blade is laser cut to precision to provide a quick and relatively painless puncture as the needle causes minimal trauma. Once the initial piercing has been made, the jewellery is inserted directly into the needle with the aid of a guide pin. As the needle is removed the jewellery moves with it and into place in one swift motion. This method of piercing is much faster to execute, and most clients find it more comfortable than piercing with cannula needles. As blade needles cause less trauma, piercings executed with this practice heal faster. The only con to blade piercing is that the needle stays in situ longer, therefore your piercer must be highly skilled and confident in their technique.

I had my first piercing at age 16 which sparked my interest in the piercing world, over the years increasing my piercing collection. I love body modifications, and piercing for me has been a way of expressing myself and has helped me overcome some difficult times in my life. The most rewarding part of the job is supporting individuals on their own self discovery journey.

or surface piercings.
We have the following age restrictions in situ for the listed placements.
❖We only pierce persons over the age of 14 this includes lobes.
❖ Persons aged 14 – 17 require a parent or legal guardian to accompany them to the appointment to provide
legal consent.
❖Tongue, eyebrow, bridge and industrial piercings are only available for persons aged 16 and over.
❖ Persons aged 16-18 will require a parent or legal guardian to accompany them to the appointment to provide
legal consent for the following piercings: bridge, tongue and eyebrow
❖ Nipple piercings, dahlias (cheek piercing) and surface piercings are only available to those aged 18 and over.
Government issue I.D will be required.
Please note, as much as we love them, we are not able to have children under the age of 14 in the studio. If you attend your appointment with a minor, we will have no choice but to cancel the appointment.

All of the jewellery stocked for fresh piercings is ASTM F136 implant grade titanium. This metal is a hypoallergenic and biocompatible material, which means it is made to sit in your body for long periods of time. This metal causes minimal irritation to the area and potential allergic reaction is rare. This metal provides clients with the fastest possible heal.
We are a supplier of high-end cosmetic body jewellery from Qualiti Body Jewellery, Titanium Tailor, Anatometal, Industrial Strength, BVLA Juniper and Tish Lyon to name a few. These suppliers use the aforementioned implant grade titanium, or 9 -18K gold/ white gold as their setting metals. The stones in the jewellery range from opals, natural stones, cubic zirconia, to diamonds and precious gems; all of which are available in a variety of colours to suit every individuals’ preferences. If sparkly stones are not for you, and you are looking for something a little different, we also offer an anodising service. This means we can change the colour of any titanium jewellery! Jewellery can be modified to a singular colour or a multicoloured pattern. Whilst we try to keep a diverse stock, some items are pre order only.
